Woodburn Veterinary Clinic Welcomes
Dr. Terri Jackson
Dr. Terri L. Jackson completed undergraduate studies in biology and
chemistry at Western Oregon State College. Her doctorate in
veterinary medicine was completed in 1998 at Oregon State
University. A native of Salem, Dr. Jackson has not strayed
far from home. After 13 years of practice in Dallas, she
joined the Woodburn and Sequoia Veterinary teams in
September, 2011. She practices exclusively small animal
medicine, with special interests in behavior, internal
medicine cases, dermatology, and pocket pet medicine
(rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice, hamsters).
Dr. Jackson’s life outside the clinic is also a busy one.
She is married to forensic scientist, Mike. Together they
have two sons. She is an active member of the Board of
Directors for the Willamette Humane Society in Salem, a
parent advisor for Straub Environmental Learning Center’s
Roots and Shoots chapter, assistant Cub Scout den leader,
and an ardent classroom volunteer. She is an active member
of the Marion-Polk Veterinary Association (MPVA), serving as
president in 1999 and continuing education coordinator on
multiple occasions. She is also a member of the American
Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and Oregon Veterinary
Medical Association (OVMA). )She and her family enjoy
hiking, biking and camping in addition to their full
schedule of Cub Scouting activities. She finds running and
baking to be therapeutic, although polar opposite,
relaxation activities.
